Proofreading Checklist:
Format:
-double-spaced
-black ink
-last name, page number, top right hand corner
-outline included, first page
-work cited page in alphabetical order
Punctuation:
-period after parenthetical entry, not before
-no punctuation contained within parenthetical entry except when quotation marks are needed for a title.
-quotation marks for direct quotes end after quote, not after parenthetical entry.
Grammar:
-check all subject and verbs
-check all pronouns and their antecedents (the word the pronoun replaces)
-no “you, your, or yours” even if in direct quote make change in brackets
-if using a comma, make sure there aren’t complete sentences on both sides.
Well, I’ve decided not to erase everything from the previous sememster.
So, we’ll just start fresh right here. There aren’t any announcements or assignments yet. I still have to get all classes onboard.

Monday/Tuesday: Read and take notes on Chapter 16 for the causal analysis essay.
Wednesday/Thursday: Answer the questions after the sample essays.
ENG 112
Monday: Read Chapter 16 for the causal analysis essay.
Wednesday: Construct an outline for you next paper. Also, have your first paper proofread again by someone to be ready to turn in on Friday.
ENG 232
Tuesday: Read all of Edgar Lee Master’s poems.
Thursday: Deconstruct “Elsa Wertman,” “Hamilton Greene,” and the “Matlock” poems. Deconstruct — find all of the poetical elements.
HUM 110
Monday: Read and take notes on Chapter 4
Wednesday: From your chapter reading, find four possible questions that we can compile to make a chapter study guide. Bring to class on Friday.
Well, that’s it. I hope everyone has a good few days and I will see everyone bright and early Friday morning. I will be checking in periodically to answer questions.
